ご寄付者数：国内外から164名以上
合計寄付金額：23,664,351円**
サポートできる子どもの数：3,155名
*12月25日に当初予定の2,000名の支援人数を達成したため、年末まで期間を延長しました。

社会的混乱がおさまらず、支援に関するあらゆる費用が急激に高騰する中、「本当に目標を達成できるのだろうか…」と、くじけそうになったこともありました。そんな中、当初目標から更に多くの子ども達へ教育を届けることができたのは、いつも心強いサポートを提供してくださるマッチングパートナーの皆様、そしてルーム・トゥ・リードの活動に想いを傾けてくださる皆様お一人おひとりのおかげです。改めて、心より御礼を申し上げます。

さて、2024年がはじまり、あっという間に2週間余りがたちました。しかし、今年の始まりは多くの方々にとって非常に厳しい始まりとなりました。
日々、能登半島地震で被災した方々、諸国で日々、激しい戦闘のなか生きている人々へ想いを馳せています。世界を一ミリでも明るく照らせるよう、今年も精一杯活動してまいります。

“FINAL RESULTS” ‘Action for Education2023’
Thank you very much for your cooperation with ‘Action for Education 2023’ We are pleased to announce the results:

Campaign period: November 27th – December 31st*.
Number of donors: more than 164 from Japan and abroad.
Total donated amount: 23,664,351 yen**.
Number of children to be supported: 3,155 .
**The period was extended to the end of the year because the originally planned number, 2,000 children was reached on December 25th.
**Amount includes matching donations from ABeam Consulting Ltd., and Mr. and Mrs. Masanao, Regional Board of Room to Read.

As the world remains unsettled and the support-related cost skyrocketed, we sometimes wondered if we would really be able to achieve our goal…. Despite these severe situations, we were able to deliver education to even more children than our initial goal, thanks to the support of our matching partners. Thanks to each one of you who have shown your commitment to Room to Read. Once again, we would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
*To everyone who participated in the year-end campaign: we will send you a digital picture book in a child’s native language as a gift by email this spring. Please look forward to it.
Every day, our thoughts go out to the people who were affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake and to people affected by crises throughout the world.
